Well it's tore down to a table of parts. Found the front fender has a crack about a inch long in it, the front drive pulley was bad loose, took the nut off with my fingers. Been run loose for awhile but most of the wear was done to the pulley not the shaft. Some wear on the shaft but for a 55k mile bike I don't think it's a huge concern at this point. Trying to get a price list together for Dwight and go from there. His new FZ 1 has over taken the warrior it sounds like and the to do list on his warrior keeps growing. So I guess time will tell.
Here's the to do list as of right now SR 2 conversion (slipping clutch) Paint and body work Power coat rims Swing arm needs reprinted New air filters ( holes rubbed in the old ones BAK) New tires Road rashes mirrors Bent foot controls on the right side New brakes front and rear Maybe new rotors front and rear, pretty grooved and decent size lip wore on them Ceramic coat the exhaust (small amount of rash from lay down) Replace the front drive pulley and safety lock plate Lots of other small touch ups and fresh black paint so shine her back up where she's showing her age and scars What's your guys opinion? Put $2000 give or take some into a $3000-4500 bike or do a quick and easy flat black paint job and sell it as is and make it some one else's project? The more I look at it I'm thinking custom ground cams, a turbo, head work, chain conversion, slam it on the ground, put it on a weight loss program and see what she'll do at the drag strip. But that's only if Dwight thinks of selling it as is. Maybe just a idea I've had for a fast and crazy warrior project also. Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com Free App

How much is Dwight selling it for if he does (just curious)? I haven't seen any posts about his FZ1.

Cressy: STFU!!!!
Paul: Turbo sounds like a winner! (If Dwight has the stones to pull the trigger ![]() ![]() ![]() )BTW...I might be able to donate a front fender to the cause if he mans up and goes turbo. (Seriously though...I could send a front fender up with the heads if its going to be too much of a pain to fix the original, I should have one to donate)
