Did I read your post correctly, one of the Warriors is a 2012 model?

The 2009 Liquid Silver USA49 Warrior is being sold in a few countries including South Africa. Also, Yamaha shipped some 2009 USA49 bikes to New Zealand in 2011. I heard some or all of those NZ bikes were still sitting at the Yamaha bike factory in Japan. Maybe these SA bikes were still there too in which case they would be 2012 models based on factory ship date but 2009 models based on build date, dunno how all that stuff works in South Africa but its possible that South Africa assigns the date-first-sold as the model year, several countries do that.

One way to determine is the model information:
XV17PCY(2009) (Y = 2009) and the Code for USA49 that year is 5PXS,
