Patience grasshopper, you know what you want and there are plenty to choose from. These bikes obviously aren't flying out of the showrooms. If money is no concern to you then your choice is easy.
I first saw a warrior outside of a bar and liked the look. Long story short it took me 6 months to find exactly what I wanted at a good price. It was under 1500 miles, stage 4 kit still being broken in, a few other goodies for 9k back in 05.

The low volume dealerships don't have as much wiggle room on price and become extremely reluctant to aggressively drop their price. The high volume dealerships buy the overstocks at a low price. Smaller dealerships don't have that option. Like others have mentioned, I've seen new 09 Warriors going for 8-8.5k.
My nearest dealership (Des Moines area) sold their last Warrior for over $10k a couple of months ago. I asked them about an R1, and they were no where near the price I could get from dealerships near Minneapolis. Same thing when we bought my wife's Roadliner, we just drove up to Minneapolis. 4 hour drive to save $2-3k. |

That is the correct price for a Dealer however other Dealerships have taken advantage of bankrupcies etc and you can get 08s for $8000 or less shipped to your door. Midnights are a little more. Call Cory at Team Winnebagoland in Oshkosh WI or do a search on Cycletrader.com for leftovers. Good luck:}
