Default Riding with no Front fender?

Anyone ever ride without the front fender? I think I'm liking the look without it. I want to put some shorter brake lines up front (no matter what)to follow the forks (not sure why there's so much extra line there anyway).I don't ride on wet or dirt roads so I'm not too concerned bout things... but then there's always that squeezy voice that seems to come yacking about when parts start coming "our" bike.

If ya have a pic without the front fender please post for my bike was partially stripped when I thought of this.

I did about 40+ years ago. Still remember getting particles of dirt in my face. Ouch!!! I had the fender back on in 2 days. Never gave it a thought again.

Here's an older picture of my ride. I haven't had a front fender for years. Love the way it looks. 'Course I look like an upside down skunk when there's water on the road. Which isn't a big deal to me.

I built a street tracker a while back and it doesn't have a front fender. I expected to get a lot of crap in my face, but I have a full face helmet and honestly haven't noticed much if any change. the bigger problem is the short rear fender. When I hit a puddle, I get a wet stripe up my back. Yuck!

As for the front brake lines, you need the excess. When you hit the gas, the front end rises, the forks extend and the slack is taken up. Without the extra length, you'll tear the hoses out of the fittings. Bad.

I rode my Vulcan, for about a week once. Every little puddle, even the ones left from the cagers acdrips at stop lights, would get in my face. It got annoying very quickly. The look was cool, but the splashing sucked.

If you see a puddle move to the left or right on the bike so the water does not hit you in the face. If it starts raining tie a bandana across the fork legs & let it drag on the tire.

I ran mine without a fender for a while. After the first time getting caught in the rain, I made it a priority to get a fender on. The bike was unridable on wet roads. The rooster tail that was illuminated by my headlight was rather pretty though!

Beautifulbike my friend! With the exception of the chrome... that's the look I want (especially love the mean cowl)
