You can run a 240 on your swing arm without any major modifications to the swing arm. Of course, you would have to modify the rear rim. The largest stock size you can run on that rim is 210. Anything larger than a 240 and you will have to modify the swing arm or replace it. Hope this helps.

BTW -Forum member KyleNV and Crown both do this kind of work, and will give forum members a good deal.

You can run a 240 with a stock swingarm? Aside from the rim would anything else need to be modified to make it work?

I changed mine to a 210, but while I had it all apart my buddy had a 240 mounted on a rim, so we slid it on just to see what it would look like. it looked to have plenty of room, but didnt actually ride with it. Ive read on here that you dont need to make any other mods for it to work.

Do a quick search on 240 diy there are plenty of topics and step-by-step guide of the diy 240 process, I think you still need to grind and shave some inside on the swingarm but no major work. Also every tire company has different sizes even though they all are call 240, some are bigger and smaller than 240mm. So I think depending on what tire you are getting you would need to shave some material off the inside of the swingarm.

Yes. As noted by Arunaworkid, you have to grind a little bit on the inside of the swing arm, but not enough to be a structural problem. You can find examples in the popular mods database.

Here's one writeup: http://www.polarsoft.net/warrior/swingarm/

Well that sounds a lot better than spending $1500 on a 240 kit for it!

Yep. Although I think KyleNV could set you up cheaper than that anyway -and get it done by a pro. I think you trade your parts for his that he's modified. I have a 190 though, so I don't know. I went smaller not larger.
