After getting my wife's Roadliner over 4 years ago, I joined a Roadliner forum and met a woman that rode a Roadliner. Oddly enough her husband rode a Warrior. Over the years she and my wife became closer friends. This past July, we finally met in person.
John McCabe led us on a ride north of Santa Cruz, CA. It was a nice easy going ride with spectacular views. It was hard to get the ride started because John and I kept on talking about Warriors. We didn't have years of chatting under our belts, like our wives had. Over all, it was a wonderful day hanging out with another couple. This morning, I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing earlier this week. I don't have any details as of yet, but it may have been motorcycle related. John was a member of the RSW forum, so I thought I'd share the news. |

It hurts my heart to see that. I'll pray for your family and his family.

Yes, thanks for posting the link. I was riding in the Tahoe area including Hwy 89 the week before meeting him. On the one ride I did with him he wore an armored jacket, steel/kevlar reinforced jeans, and full face helmet, he was cautious and kept our small group safe. Overall, a great guy. I was looking forward to meeting up with him on future trips to CA.
Anyone know his username? He mentioned meeting some guys from the San Jose and Monterey Bay area. |

So sorry to hear this, prayers to his family. Life is so short and unpredictable, appreciate and enjoy it while you can.
