Default Loss of a fellow Warrior rider

After getting my wife's Roadliner over 4 years ago, I joined a Roadliner forum and met a woman that rode a Roadliner. Oddly enough her husband rode a Warrior. Over the years she and my wife became closer friends. This past July, we finally met in person.

John McCabe led us on a ride north of Santa Cruz, CA. It was a nice easy going ride with spectacular views. It was hard to get the ride started because John and I kept on talking about Warriors. We didn't have years of chatting under our belts, like our wives had. Over all, it was a wonderful day hanging out with another couple.

This morning, I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing earlier this week. I don't have any details as of yet, but it may have been motorcycle related. John was a member of the RSW forum, so I thought I'd share the news.

It hurts my heart to see that. I'll pray for your family and his family.

Yes, thanks for posting the link. I was riding in the Tahoe area including Hwy 89 the week before meeting him. On the one ride I did with him he wore an armored jacket, steel/kevlar reinforced jeans, and full face helmet, he was cautious and kept our small group safe. Overall, a great guy. I was looking forward to meeting up with him on future trips to CA.

Anyone know his username? He mentioned meeting some guys from the San Jose and Monterey Bay area.

So sorry to hear this, prayers to his family. Life is so short and unpredictable, appreciate and enjoy it while you can.
