Ah yes, end of season riding...

I didn't get out a early as I would have liked, but I did get out for a ride. Cruised along the highway, a backroad. There was a half pint on a dirt bike on a dirt straight away that ran parallel to the road. He spot checks me over his left shoulder and I get into a crouch mode like we are going to race, and he takes off. Checks me again, I crouch again, he speeds up, and his track runs out. I give him a thumbs up.. I'm sure I made his day. Made me smile anyway.

Thanks! I've got two 1st gens ... an '84 GS and the '85 GSL-SE.
What can I say ... I like uncommon out-of-production vehicles that catch the eye.

I appreciate it! I got a good deal on those minis and I'm exceptionally pleased with them. Worth every cent.

Took mine for a ride this weekend...Temps almost reached into the 70's yesterday. Tried out a new sandwich shop in a neighboring town. Hope everyone else had a nice weekend.

Last weekend I installed the PCIII with the perfect install. Seems to pull hard and smooth through all gears.

Sent from my PC36100 using Motorcycle.com App

I spent part of my morning yesterday putting on new cheap mirrors (ebay specials for $25 shipped), and this morning plasti-dipping the coffin. I think I'll be removing the mirrors tomorrow and dipping them as well, I *really* like how the coffin turned out. After that, the new (to me) back rest will be getting the treatment as well.

For some reason, the close up pics washed out the color on the coffin, but you can see the texture. The pics further out are a pretty accurate representation of the color.

I'm actually planning on dipping my silver tins and tank blue with black underneath... can't decide between racing stripes or flames. You're going away from it, I'm going to it.

Blue is one of my favorite colors. But not on a bike....
Purchased the bike used.
Wasn't fond of the blue or those those yamaha decal flames.....

I'm loving the way this Plasti Dip is going on.....
Had a few spits and sputters out of the can, so just let the spray cans sit in a bowl of 100 deg (give or take) water to warm the paint before applying.
Made all the difference in the world....

Nice color black, with a nice texture....
I'll probably wind up with 5 or 6 coats when I'm finished......
