Default Thanksgiving Ride

Celebrated Thanksgiving by giving thanks for the warrior ... which implies riding it like a bat out of h311 for 370 miles yesterday

My only wish is that there were more hours of daylight, but the night ride home was fun too!

Default Hard bags

I added Harley Davidson police hard saddlebags. I had to make my own brackets, if anyone is interested I can make another set.

Bought a set of Raven T-Bags, as I consider going on a road trip next year, and would like to take the rocket.

T-Bags Raven Bag - Street Motorcycle - Motorcycle Superstore

This bag actually has two components that are sold seperately. I bought the larger bottom piece. Anyway, It has a lot of pockets, a roomy interior, and straps with buckles for tie downs. And as the Warrior doesn't lend itself to tiedowns directly, I am going to look for the screws that allow bungees if necessary.

I laid the bag across the rear fender, and it covers the surface almost completely. Enclosed with the bag are two sheets of protective cellophane(?) type sticky material for protecting the paint. If I don't mount a luggage rack, then I will go with a softer material. The bottom of the bag itself has some type of rubber material, that is probably common for most tank/fender bags.

This bag comes in plain black, or reflective striping for a few dollars more. I went with plain black as I don't do much of anything that resembles night riding.

I actually feel that this bag will come in handy when travelling to work, when it warms up again.

Merry Christmas to me

I still haven't finished the new spring I started to install almost four months ago. But I walked by her as I looked for my drop hitch in the garage this morning

The weather has been chilly here so I'm lucky if I get 1 hour of cruise time on her within a week but last night I found myself in the garage wiping the dust off her. Since she's been parked for almost 10 days I also hooked up the trickle charger to give the battery some juice just in case the temps hit 55- higher this weekend.

Rode the machine 50 miles, wanted to go 100. Dam weather is not too cold or windy, hail it is 70 temp and low winds. Just a heavy mist/drizzle/fog/cloudy crap that can hang around coastal communities in the Southeast, sheet fire...
