I changed oil and filter, and glad that I did it myself. On the previous oil change by the former owner, drain plugs and oil filter were apparently tighten by The Hulk--- I destroyed the filter but finally got it off, and I used a 1/2" ratchet for the plugs.
The secret to an easy oil/filter change is to put the Warrior on a rack as it gives you space to leverage the tool. I got a great rack for $80 at Auto Zone.

Fired her up and let her warm up for a few (minutes not beers lol). Jumped on, squeezed clutch and put her in gear...she died. What????? Tried to restart...no luck. Hmmm. Came to the forum to do a little research. Couldn't get the codes to come up...kept getting Er_1? Sent a pm to Deuce...got a response from both Deuce and AZWarrior. After some trouble shooting started checking every fuse. Viola 10amp Ignition fuse shot...replaced...she fired right up. I rode today thanks to you guy's

Rode her around our gated community where its only 25 mph. She was screaming for more and i obliged. I was slapped with a $50 HOA ticket and it was worth every penny. lol

Got off for Christmas break so loaded up the bike and road her 380 miles south, to Radiator springs haha. Wife and kids were already down in Disneyland this week so i decided to take the opportunity to put some miles on the bike and join them

56 F here in Western South Dakota today.
Got her out of the storage unit, fired her up, after a brief idle to warm her bones I donned my new Tourmaster Jacket and went for a putt. 50 miles later, temp still in the mid-fifties, put her away for the year. Jacket worked great too! |

I modified the stock heat shield to wrap the rear pipe. I modified it, so I could retain the outer heat guard. It actually came out pretty good IMHO.
