Dated or not dated compared to other units on the market for the RSW ?
Has anyone ran 1 on their RSW with good results ? How complicated is the install ? Any special tools or parts needed ? Is it a reliable unit for RSW's or should I go as planned with the Cobra unit |

Tons of info in the PCIII USB. I really wanted the Cobra Powr Pro, even drove down there to talk to them about it. I am really bummed the powr pro seems to be such a hit and miss issue.

A dynajet USB III came with my bike uninstalled, my buddy and I put it on installation really wasn't hard at all. Haven't had a single problem with it. Performance seemed to get better but really can't tell how much improvement without dynoing the bike before and after installation

Ok, I'm on my laptop, not the phone.
I was so pissed off, 2 weeks after I bought my PCIIIUSB, Dyno Jet came out with the PCV and auto tune.. So I gathered up extra pipes to weld on bungs and then Cobra came out with the Powr Pro. I really want the Powr Pro, but thats another story. So I decieded to play with my PC III Install was easy peasy. However the Map that came with mine from Fuel Moto was a total piece of crud. Bike vibrated really bad, popped all over the place. Drove the bike 100 miles and pulled it off. It was Horrible! I re-read the instructions, re-installed it and down loaded a map from the dyno-jet web site that closely matched my set up. There was 2 maps that were pretty close to my set up. I printed up the 2 maps and compared them. Actually the dyno-jet soft ware lets you compare the maps on your computer. I then took long rides down straight desert roads and started reading the left side plugs at various throttle positions and RPM's and found the map where I felt the bike ran the best and the plugs looked good everytime I checked them. I found one map would get me good fuel mileage and 1 map I could fry my clutch everytime I twisted the throttle. When I felt everything looked good, I then fine tuned the "trim settings". Bike runs smooth as silk, no vibration, maybe a pop, when I first take off and the bike is cold. One fellow member, said my bike runs a little rich, but the plugs don't show it. I figure better rich than lean. I would say take the bike to a tuner, but I'm a cheap date. Also, Robriguez has a map library and Rx has a genaric "Burrito" map that other members really like. Its a catch all map. Man, I wish the Powr Pro worked all the time, but I am very happy with my set up. G

Running the PC V with Auto Tune. Works like a charm as long as you have the most recent software and firmware installed on your computer. The only thing that most people need assistance with is the O2 sensor bung(s) install.

the PCIII USB is a highly tuneable, well made setup. I had one on my bike and the only reason I went away from it was for the PCV w/autotune. But for what you can buy one for and the fact they do what they are supposed to, they are a great buy

They do work and they are not difficult to install but I've done stuff to my bike that make it impossible to find a map for and I'm still not satisfied with my results. In my case i think I'm going to need a Dyno tune by a REAL professional.

Just my two cents worth.....rode with a Cobra since 2008....no problems....bit the bullet and came off the hip a month ago....added a V-bak...PCIII....and took it to a motorcycle race shop for custom map on a dyno ......well.....it cost a bit of money....but the results were way over my expectations....the Power Commander is the way to go....Hands down...no question !!!
