Have an 06 Warrior and have Vance and Hines Pro Pipes. Just wrapped the baffle in fiberglass to get a great sound. Welcome to the forum you will get the best advice on the bike and help on modifications. Warrior Family Maybe?

Thanks for the info and the welcome. The Warrior is a great bike and my favorite thus far. I've mostly owned sportbikes but I also had a 2008 M109R a few years back.

I probably won't get an exhaust anytime soon. Maybe in the spring. I actually think the stock exhaust looks pretty cool. It's just a kind of big. For now I'll just keep adding little things to personalize the bike a bit more.

No better topic to evoke a good discussion than exhaust. Why is this so? I will not even attempt to go there, given the fact that Yamaha chose to go with that ugly muffler. Maybe a good marketing ply by the mother company.
I like to raise a couple of points that I have experienced in my research with respect to exhaust setups for this bike. Due to the fact that the bike is not in production, does not bode well for aftermarket manufacturers, which is quite normal for a business model. Thus selection is quite limited.
Another point is that we have not explored the possibility of adapting an exhaust for a Raider. I like the Raider a lot and recently looked at one at the local dealer. I am not persuaded that the header portion of the exhaust will not fit the Warrior head. Sure looks very similar.
Another point is the stock header is a very close second in flow characteristics to the S* pipes IMO. The two head pipes nicely low into the collector. The main problem with the stock system is the muffler. I installed a HK slipon to the stock headers and experienced a significant mid to high rpm torque increase, that is with PC111 tuning and butt dyno. Subsequently removed the slipon (which is for sale) and reinstalled the ugly can for noise control.
Another point is whatever happened to the Rsw Designed Exhaust that was so ever discussed with vigour on this forum. I was following that thread with great interest and it just died!! Why?
I think this is enough!!

There are many threads on the Raider headers. They don't fit. You could always cut them and reweld I'm sure.

I'm planning on getting back into the dream exhaust here shortly. The problem (for me) has been I'm not taking my pipes off while I can still ride. They predict 70 degrees this weekend. So I'll be putting it off at least a week...
