Anyone ever try to modify an AIS cover to work on the right side?

I picked on up about a week ago with the intent of trying it...
I really like the look of the cover on the left and would love if I could find an aftermarket one, but the one Yamaha sells is different...

I have a Churchkey VBAK (if you haven't done it, you should...), so I don't need the right box/cover.

I think I may have to take the dremmel to it to even it up, then make a bracket...

Anyway, any tips would be appreciated.

Maybe a ~hundred guys did that mod, there must be threads still stored in Popular Mods under Right Side Cover that are still enabled, plus a search using that criteria (or maybe even criteria: 'AIS Right Side Cover') should yield results.

Last summer or so a member fabbed up a bracket and was going to sell them but nobody really wanted one. He had a good thread on it though so you might find that. Its really not symmetrical though so when you flip it over there are some differences. Takes a whole different bracket too.
