Might be peeling the tank when it dries, and do it over....

The directions say to lay the coats on heavy enough to have a wet look holding the can 6 - 8 inches away....
Well I tried that for the last coat on the tank. And I don't like it. It gives it a too shiny appearance.

I was getting exactly what I was hoping for when I held the can 8 - 12 inches away.
A nice, very fine textured flat black matte finish.

So after this coat dries, I'll try to see if I can put a final couple of layers on it that look like the fenders, by again, holding the can 8 - 12 inches away.

Hey, it's supposed to be easy to peel ('ll let you know) and only 7 bucks a can

It's definitely a great way to go. I can't believe how many compliments and stares I have gotten on my bike since I did it last weekend. The fact that I could pull it off tomorrow and go back to stock or even put a different color on is a nice bonus too.

Couldn't wait til the spring to bolt it up...
Freezing my butt off off in 22 deg weather.
But here's the front fender....

The black looks so much nicer than the Blue with flames!
And now that my bike will be Black, maybe It will be as fast as a midnight LOL

Looks great! I've got a feeling you're going to find a few more parts to do as well.
