It's been cold her lately so she's been parked in the garage 8-10 days between startups. Rolled her out the garage Tuesday and she turned over slow but still managed to fire up so I shut her down, pushed her back in to give her a slow charge overnight. Pushed her back out Wednesday and she fired up instantly but I noticed my odometer now reads kilometers. Took her to work and then for a cruise after work and she fired up fine & ran great but I'm thinking I better pull the battery out to see if it's a stock battery.
Questions : Are there any marks on the stock Warrior battery that would indicate how old or new it is ? Does anyone have a pic of the factory installed battery ? |

I just changed out my battery. I can try to post a pic tonight of the battery that came with the bike when i bought the bike new a few years ago.

Doubt this was OEM as my bike is a 2002, but its all i had. Battery on the RIGHT (the big one). The smaller/left battery is my lithium replacment done over the summer (link below).

Hey Laf, the GS GT14B4 is the oem battery. Yours may have been replaced over the years with another oem battery. I did not see any date codes etc when I replaced my original battery either, and I don't remember anyone ever mentioning date indicators for it here on this forum.

wow.. i wonder if that was the 10 year old battery (2002-2012). I doubt it... I still have it on the battery tender in the basement. It wasn't "bad/dead", but in comparison to the shorai, its night and day.

Thanks for the pics & replies guys and **yes** I do know that I can reset kilo's back to miles (Iowawarrior). Pulled my battery last night and it's a stocker but I'm not sure if it's the original 2003 factory installed battery. No big deal ...... I'll just buy another. Heck, I might even splurge and spend the extra loot for a Shorai Lithium Ion.
