(*Edit* Finished project pics starting on post 36) After thinking and working on it a bit, I decided to scrap my design for a ram air intake... I just felt like it would be too much trouble to "package" everything the way I wanted.
So that said, time to move on to plan two! Inspired by Frankenstein's number 21 Warrior, for those of you that remember him ![]() I'm not necessarily expecting or attempting to outperform Churchkey's intake kits, but my manifold will easily modify to accept a Garrett T28 in a year or two, and I'm willing to make that sacrifice ![]() Finished, it should have more than double the filter volume of the stock airbox, while keeping the vacuum and breather lines. I'm aiming for 300 cubic inches of volume, as that would be ideal for a turbo on this motor. It'll have relatively short runners, with bell mouth opening velocity stacks. Hopefully it performs pretty well, lol. I'll be updating with pics as it comes together this winter Last edited by Stellmon; 04-20-2013 at 03:03 AM. |
