Looks like its time to try just that mod, add it to the list. I just uplaoded the schematics, gimme some time and ill figure this one out.

However, there are a lot of things to consider. You can't just rip the stock tach out as the Yamaha diagnostics 'black box' is built in. Check out the popular mods thread. There's info in there about relocation/removal.
