Default Help Needed.......Wire Bundle help

Gents,

Could someone help me out with pics of the wire bundle coming from the horn near the front right footpeg. Post recall. Alot of these wires dont look like they are the same way as before. In other words, I'm trying to figure out if these were zip tied or routed differently than they currently are on my bike. Any pictures of these wires would be appreciated. In particular, I'm looking to get a picture of the lower front of the bike going from the right front horn to the very front of the engine (around the oil filter area). Any help would be really appreciated.

Again, thanks!!!!

Dave

The only wires in that area should be for the horn and rear brake light. Up and inboard a bit are the wires connecting to the rectifier. Then up to the coils and LCV.

Default Horn Un Locate

Sorry to drag up an old thread. (See I did use search )

I am re-installing the right side horn to my bike, the previous owner removed it, and did a very good job.

I am looking for what the original posted has asked for, photo of the right side horn wiring.

The wire diagrams I have etc.

The previous owner did such a good job of taping and heat shrinking the wiring I can not see where he made the changes. As I have to cut in to the harness a photo of stock would help me locate the changes he made.

This way I will minimize the cutting I have to do.

My other option is to piggy back of of the left side horn.

I'm surprised a search doesn't yield a pic, but a pic probably won't show much anyway. The front horn has one short harness (exiting the front harness that also feeds the rectifier etc)and that short harness has only two wires in it: a solid balck (to ground) and a black/white (12v from signal fuse circuit). Both wires have spade push-on connectors to match the horn terminals. When you un-wrap the taped-up harness the horn wires might still exist and could even still have the 'plugs' installed depending on how the prior owner did the work.

Does the horn's mounting bracket still exist on the front right-side footpeg bracket?

There is nothing there at all, a really good job was done even the tiewraps look stock.

I see the wires for the rectifier, which was relocated.

For rear brake switch and for I believe the starter (wire continues back under the motor).

I will cut gently into the harness where the rectifier wires are.

Thanks Arizonawarrior
