Default 31t pulley

I'm installing a 31 t pulley on my son's warrior tomorrow {hitmann123} I was wondering since the new pulley will be wider then the stock 32 since it fits all roadies from 99 up, will the belt track in the middle or toward the front edge of the pulley when properly aligned? the only one I've done is on my 02 silverado with the wider belt. also about how much will the speedo be off by? I have a speedo healer on my roadie. Thanks guys!!

What is speedo healer do? I've noticed on my Warrior that my speedometer is off. Does it correct for inaccuracies in the speedometer? Does it effect the odometer? I'm wondering if my speedometer being off is causing my odometer to rack up the miles faster than it is supposed to. I'm sorry I don't know the answer to the pulley question you have asked as I have just recently purchased my bike.

if your speedo is registering faster then you are actually going it will also show more miles on the odo. the speedo healer re calibrates the speedo but you need to know how much you are off by before you can recalibrate it

It will track to the inside of the front pulley.

It is wider than the stock maybe because it doesn't have the inside lip as the stock one does. The 31T should track to the inside as long as everything is stock.

So - the 31t pulley will raise rpm's? What comes stock on an '03? I would like to lower my rpm's a little. Is it possible without going into the trans?

All Warriors come stock with a 32T pulley. You can go to a 33T (which is stock for the RoadStar), to lower your rpms a couple hundred. You lose a little bit of low end "umph" though.

Is that a simple bolt on? And will the stock belt work?

Thanks,
Ed

An aftermarket single lip wide pulley should be a bolt on. If its a Yamaha 31 tooth pulley that has the bolt on inside flange check that it does not rub on the inside of the case. When I used the Yamaha pulley I had to unbolt the inner ring & grind the lip for clearance.
