Default front tire sizes? (up sizing)

Ive been thinking about it for a while and I want the put a larger, meatier tire on the front. If you take a look at most "exile cycles" you will see that the front tire is in portion to the rear, I love that look. I was wondering what is the largest size tire I can fit on the stock rim. I know that you can fit an 130 on it but that leaves little clearance for the fender. I am suggesting that I could run without the front fender and if so what would be the largest size?

One of the fellows across the water had a 200 on the front of his. It was the look you are after.

If you go to any of the tire sites, you can see the rim size suggested for each tire. For that matter, you can have your rim made wider, with the forks now becoming the constraint. Fabbing a fender would be no problem.

You have an idea, order what parts you need, fab the rest, and you will have a unique bike.

I would say having seen one, that 130 Metz is probably as big as you would want to go on the stock rim.
Yes there are some clearance issues with tyre growth at speed - so bear that in mind.
I think the 130 JUST clears although I have been told by Hardrider (Swiss member) that he fitted a slightly taller profile 130 tyre to improve the match with his 240 rear - and it worked.

I'm sure that would mean moving the front fender for clearance.

Anyways... as you said, having no front fender eliminates any of that stuff so...

Wolfy had a 300 rear and a 200 front.
As you can see, his were not stock wheels and he had triple trees made to widen the front.

He said that the 200 front matched the 300 rear quite well.

Hope this helps.
