Default Dippin' into retirement...

Decided I needed a garage so I am stealing from the future to have fun now, 32' x 28' w/16' x 28' man room upstairs, should hold da bikes and 4 wheel'd toys. Decided to take out a few extra thousand to get the Big Bore ,110, w/cams. I was turned on to a ex yamaha mechanic that does it in his garage for extra money. Warrior is great but Harley is 127 and torque'r and I want that feel from the warrior. Have the BAK, Big Radius, and AIS bock off, big bore will help.

Sounds like fun, we'll need to see pics of the "man room" when complete...

As a bike hobbiest you can't go wrong with a garage (man cave) at home. I love mines even though it's not a 2 car but I still have plenty of room for a bike or 2 and all my tools/equipment plus it's a great feeling to have a place to work on your machine and not worry about bugs, bad weather or people worring the heck out of you.

Be sure to post some pics from start to finish.....

I have a 32'X24' garage.Plenty of room for what i have and for what i do,but i wish it could have been bigger.I filled it up almost as fast as i built it.I have 10' ceilings,so i might make an upstairs for more room for storage.Good luck building yours, hope it is as much fun as i had building mine.I will be adding the 110 kit to my bike also when the time comes.Retirement is fun if you have enough money to keep you busy.

I have 2 acres, a outside bar, Shtbr, as in my avatar, a sleeping room next to the bar, Shtl, and an open invitation to anyone that ends up this way, off I94 between Eau Claire Wi. and St.Paul/Minneapolis Mn.

I had a 30x40 with 15 foot walls and a loft in the back third up in Alaska. I put in in-floor heat, 3/4 bath, deep sink, Sat TV and a phone. I wanted, and fully expected, to grow old and die in that shop. My wife almost did die there when she told me she had accepted a job down in the states.

Size and amenities don't matter. All that counts is that you have a place where you can get away from the hassles of every day life and spend some quality time with your machines, or whatever your hobbies might be. Hope you enjoy yours for many years to come!

I am not a master carpenter, I kind of throw things together and throw things at it and call it good, it goes w/da theme of my old site, an old creamery. The Shtbr/Shtl was an old barn w/open lean to on da side. I converted the lean to into the Shtbr (Shitbar) and the barn into a sleeping quarters, the Shtl (Shitel). My Harley, had a lot of issues when I first got it, it's the Shtbk, my old '70 camper is the Shtbx, you notice a theme here. lol Second to last pic is of the Shtl/Shtbr after I pulled out da manure spreader and started to work on it. lol
