Most of you already know this but since I had to replace my left rear turn signal bulb I will pass this along to someone that may not know.
In order to keep the amber bulb from showing through the clear lense and looking like a fried egg. Simply cover the brass part of the bulb with painters tape. Then add one light coat of chrome spray paint to the amber glass of the bulb. Just add enough to hide the color of the glass. Let it dry, then install. You will not be able to see the bulb throught the lense, and it will still glow amber when the signal is flashing. This is an old trick, but perhaps some may not have heard of it before. BTW; I used silver the other day and it worked just fine. But only use enough to hide the amber and not a super thick coating. |

Actually I didn't know that Jabo. I was planning on tinting my covers this weekend. Think I still need to do this too?
