I dont think he has had any issues and you could paint or plastidip or powder coat a reservoir if you found one you liked that wasn't black. Just know that if you powdercoat you have to dissassemble cause rubber doesn't like to be baked.

Thanks for the link...im on it now.

LOVE the idea of deleting the res and doing the hose...perhaps some aluminum tubing idea could be worked up....possibilities...

Man Jbat....they came out with that resevoir a month after I finished my r1 setup.......so jealous of that.

If you do decide to go with the tube and cap it do yourself a favor and don't get a clear one. Or if you do cover it. I bought the brembo one which is supposed to protects against UV and my brakefluid still went brown from the UV rays.

Holy big pics Batman! My setup is working just fine love it, you can get the same tank in black I thought about it but the sun is not nice too dark anodized. same for the levers, thought about the hose deal too just looks a little hokie to me.can't beat the R1 master. got a little different setup now long levers with red adjusters and black PM grips..btw Luv I'd forget about the r1 clutch perch not really enough material on there to make it fit the 1 inch bar. the stock perch will work with the adj lever.

I knew you would chime in sooner or later! Love those grips man. I got the R1 clutch perch on, I'll admit it was a pain though and I wasnt sure just how it was going to hold up, so I sanded the bar down a bit to get it on. But now that its on I have put about 1000 miles on it and have no issues...and i'm not very nice to my clutch. I was pretty determined to use it though cause I dig the quick adjust

@ 60ftgap..
mounting the reservoir directly to the bars is really neat - a great idea!

Here's mine. No fading issues on the lever or the resevoir.
