I can move the lever by had very easy. The cables are the same. It definitely is something wrong in the clutch it self.

Please post pictures of the motor end of the cable showing the cable-ball in the motor-end-lever-socket. Also please post pictures of the cable's middle adjustment area from about ten feet away so we can see the cable and the center adjustment in focus. Also please post pictures of the lever end of the cable in its socket with the hand lever NOT pulled.

Also, as already asked, take a clear pic, from directly above, of the motor end of the cable and the push-lever (which in this case pulls). The push lever is the chrome lever the clutch cable connects to at the motor end. We need on overhead pic with the lever NOT pulled and also one overhead pic with the lever pulled ALL THE WAY. There's more, we also need ONE pic with the cable not attached to the pull lever so we can see where it orients itself. These need to be pics that show the motor case and the cable even if not connected so we can see the scale of things based on surroundings.

Finally, as already asked, please post the brand and part number of the cable you bought and we will search to see if its the right cable for the Road Star Warrior. To confirm, we need to VERIFY your Warrior's model year so tell us what model year is your Warrior?

I was typing during your post. Pics will still help. But if you are sure, then disconnect the clutch cable from the push lever (see above) and then manually rotate the push lever until it stops moving by hand, then adjust the middle of the clutch cable to meet that length, then attach the cable to the push lever. Fine-tune with the lever adjustment so a quarter can fit in the gap between the clutch perch and the clutch lever. IMO you really need to get the download of the service manual if you don't already have it. This simple task is confusing and pics are worth a few extra words.

If you can move the lever by hand, then you didn't tension it correctly before you attached the cable -basically what Arizona said...
