A question for the Yamaha tech and engine builders-
I have a line on a RS warrior motor with VERY low miles. Would it work to pull my r* motor, take the top end off of it , put the jugs from my stock * motor(so the exhaust ports will be where they need to be) on the warrior motor, with the warrior heads etc.? I'm thinking the warrior motor in my roady frame will make me very happy. SO? I guess I am wondering will the warrior heads bolt on the roady jugs, and will the roady jugs bolt down to the warrior bottom end? |

Your Roadie a 1600 carbed motor?
Don't know about parts swapping between the 2 motors however: The exhaust ports are in the heads on both motors not the jugs. In addition: The Roadie has a better 5th gear ratio @ .75. The Warrior has a .80 fifth gear ratio. Some of us have installed the Roadie 5th gear set in the Warrior.

With your 07 I would install hotter cams and springs, hp pistons, dyna ignition for starters. Even stock warrior cams would let you raise your rpms to 5k. I believe the road* is 4500 limit stock if I remember correctly. Would need to rejet the carb also.
