i do my motor oil changes at home my self and have a heated man cave to work in.I am now due to change transfer case oil my question is can i change this at room temperature or does it need to be heated up like motor oil change . unable ride it any more now due to cold weather and salt on the roads...

A heated room is great! Cold fluid will take longer to drain but for convenience if helpful there are a couple of Threads showing how to use aluminum foil as a drain chute when just pulling the plug or when removing the entire cover (which isn't necessary for just a fluid swap).
