Hi guys.
I am about to buy a longer front brake line for the 2003 warrior so that when I connect the morton 7 degree rake+ fork tube extensions I wont come up short on the stock one. (however there seems to be a reasonable 'bow' in the stock ones that are on at the moment but I dont think they will work on the 7 degrees from what I have read. Anyway, I found a mob here who do them and they are australian compliant. There are a heap of options.. like 'race lines' (which seem to be just 2 lines all the way.. OEM which has the 3 piece lines & junction.. Just want to get some input as to best ones to order from this list and also would I only need 2 inch over length? *I have stock bars n risers at the moment) however one day I might like to raise them a little - not sure. The giist of this rant is ![]() How many inches over length should I order for the 7 degree triple trees? Here is the link.. some pretty cool stuff here. HEL Performance Australia |

no cable on a warrior for brakes ! its a hose just add 2 inches to the bottom hose lengths and all is well. btk572
did you add the fork extensions with the trees ? if not you probably dont need a new hose or hoses for the front, btk572 Last edited by btk572; 12-02-2012 at 08:59 PM. |

LOL I meant "HOSE"!
I will be adding the tube extensions when I do the change-over. I dont think you can change the bottom hose as on mine it looks like they are part of the junction. Perhaps the Australian ones have been altered to comply with our regulations. |

Apart from the fact that I will have to tap and drill the mounts for OEM 1 into 2 brake line under the morton's trees, I also noticed that the top 2 holes where the handlebar risers go are quite different.
The original triple trees have a recessed 'cup' with rubber shock/vibration dampener around them. The mortons ones are flush so I don't like the idea of having no rubber to dampen the shake. ? Have a look at the 2 pics. |

I plan to go to a hardware store and buy some thick rubber washers the size of my risers and put them on top and bottom of the riser bolt to get mine rubber mounted. I was surprised to see how they had the holes drilled.

The rubber washers seem to work fine. I have plenty of movement of the bars so vibration should not be a problem. I will see when i get to go for a ride. I got the rubber washers at Lowes in the little screw bends they have in those drawers. I actually have more movement in the bars than i did with the stock trees so we will see.
