i was going to have the heads done here but like i said, this guy is booked three weeks out and says it''l get worse through spring. i might call PR but i don't see them being any less busy buy the time you add in shipping time. and yes, this guy told me to drop off at least 2 springs so they can flow-jet them. i don't know how it all works.
after thinking about it, i think i get it. the new ECU is set up for the other stuff. just like the stock ECU is set up for a stock bike so the new one thinks that everything is the way it should be. you're not changing anything. i appreciate all the help until i make up my mind. i'm toying with the idea of somehow getting it in my house and just spending all winter with it. it would help if i enjoyed working on things but i don't.

That's like saying you can live fine without a brain because your can bench press 400lbs
Absolutely use the speed* ecu! But until he can get to a dyno for a tune running the stock ecu with the pciii and a good map is the easiest and most cost effective. He can swap the ecu at anytime.

I got a walk out basement and in past years have move the warrior down stairs for mods. Have my 71 yamaha r5 down there this winter for a complete restore. The whole stageIV job can ealisy be done in a day. If you dont get it done this winter we can get together in the spring. I like working outside better anyways. Way better light. I left my heads stock except for the springs so am curious to see what differnece it makes being our bikes will be setup very similar.

i like the sound of that. if i sit on it until spring, that'll work out fine. it's the whole "head-work" thing that surprised me. the rest of it can be done in a day... with three weeks delay thrown in the middle. i know i don't have to do the heads but i figure as long as i'm in there.
