Hey guys, new to the 4m. I recently bought a drag bar off an 09. I can also get the stainless throttle and clutch cables off that bike. My question is will the cables work on my 02?

09 cables are 1 inch longer than comparable 02 cables. Should work no problem, but you'll have a little extra slack. How much do they want for the cables?

Do the '09 drag bars have their own risers?
Or will they fit into the existing stock '02 risers?

the bars came off my 09 they are drag bars the cables fit those bars great but i am going apes so do not need them the drag bars are one piece risers built in.does that help.
my new cables will be +12"

The '09 drag bars with '09 cables will fit the same on a 2002 bike as a 2009 bike. The change was in the risers, not in the trees or motor-end cable connections. I don't see a Pic in Itlrun's Album. He might have one so you can see how the stock '09 cables fit the '09 accessory drag bars. There's several brands of drag bars out there.

I agree that they should fit no problem. However just to clarify, stock 09 cables are 1 inch longer than stock 02 cables. So if those were stock cables, they are in fact longer than the ones currently on the 02. Again, I'd rather have an extra inch than be short an extra inch.
