First of all I must say that it's nice the way that the long standing members of the forum that have seen probably ALL of the various mods "done to death" but are still accommodating and helpful to the newer members that are working their way through the mods for the first (or second) time. Thats what makes this forum great! Nuff said![
-------------------------------------------------------------------- So.. here is MY version of the rear brake tidy. The original brake switch and horn were removed. ![]() The wires were removed from the loom at the front under the coils. ![]() This pic shows the rear master cylinder and a new hose. The banjo bolt is no longer required. ![]() The goodridge brake pressure switch part# BL992-32C. Cost around $30. ![]() The short wires on the switch were extended and routed under the engine, up the gap behind the rear cylinder, under the seat, along the R/H top frame rail - back to the original connector. ![]() Once I had worked out the correct length of the wires, I cut the male connector off of the original switch and soldered it on and covered the joint with heatshrink. ![]() She's hanging around under the tank there, waiting for ya baby! ![]() Relocated the horn in the chin fairing with the regulator. ![]() ![]() Made a mounting bracket, fitted a small reservoir from a Kawasaki dirt bike, shortened the rubber hose and fitted various hose clips, zip ties etc to tidy up. ![]() Made a thick aluminium (non-flex) tag and fitted it to the push rod. Drilled the frame and fitted the spring retaining bracket with a temporary self tapping screw. Fitted a jubilee clip for added security - .. 'cos I had one in my toolbox - call it overkill if you want! ![]() Once everything was working, I drilled the frame to the correct size, tapped the thread (M6) and fitted the bracket. ![]() Re-fitted the return spring and protective plate - master cylinder mods completed, Removed the original brake switch and horn mounting brackets from the forward control mount, ground off the welds and painted. ![]() Refitted the tidied forward control. (Front and side views). ![]() ![]() R1 rear caliper fitted, with Suzuki disk. AMENDMENT: This is my new rear wheel and not the standard one... jarv ![]() Brakes bled, all the hose clips fitted, tested the pressure switch. Job done! [ ![]() Yes ... bike does need cleaning!

Its good to see some fresh ideas. Nice job.
Would like to see better pix of the rotor & caliper install. Dirty bike is not a problem for me. Just means you ride it even when the sun is not out.

Sorry Woody, I should have mentioned that it is on a non-standard wheel! My lifetime's work destroyed in a single message... LOL[] I have amended the thread...
