I've been shopping for the various parts listed but I'm not finding them under one roof. For those who've been searching the net for the fairing/mounts where are you finding them and if able what are the prices? I've found the part#2330-0023 for $226.91 and 2321-0139 for $62.95 but in different time zones.

Try the J&P cycle website, they stock all the pieces, don't believe the Parts Unlimited #'s you are using cross over to their site.

Nope, very comfortable, did 757 miles in one day two weeks ago. Had to deal with stiff breeze going across the salt flats west of Salt Lake.

Does any one know if the ring fairing mounts from the v star 950 kit will fit the larger chrome covers on my forks?

Thanks

Do not think they will, they are a tight fit without chrome covers.

Well bike season is right around the corner and it's time to get this mod done. I've got everything now but someone spoke of cutting or trimming the plastic shield over the headlight, could somebody explain this better or provide pictures? It would be a great help to know how much other have cut off.

I had to cut most of mine away, more at the top than oalong the sides, kind of a crescent shaped trimming. best to take your time and keep trimming until the interference at the top is gonme but the sides are still there to keep wind, and water, out from along the sides. When you are done you can use some split black foam hot water pipe insulation to seal it up a little more if you want.

And the $60 for the clamps go to a GREAT CAUSE!!! If I was good with posting pictures to this forum for you to see but being an old country boy I'm a little behind on attaching photos... lol
I'm just waiting on Steve's mounts but am confused about the trimming of the part over the headlight. Does that get trimmed to snug into the gap between the cowl and headlight or trimmed most of the way so that it just sits on the 1" of headlight at the top? Also, does the batwing line up to the front of the headlamp, extend over it, or does the headlight stick out any? I only want to cut that once and don't want to do it with regrets. Tks!
