Default Another cheap driving light mod

Got some lights, got some wire and shrink tube, a couple posi-tap connectors, and made a couple brackets at work. The lights were $48 on ebay, got the wire and shrink tube from the Harley dealer for $5 (I bet he didn't think it was for a Yamaha lol), and got paid $27 an hour at work to make the brackets haha. I think they could be aimed a little better and I might make some heavier brackets but overall this is what I was shooting for. Thanks to LeaderDuece for giving me the idea to use that fender bolt.

That came out really good. Have you ridden with them yet?

I just finished them up tonight and went for a 30 minute ride around town. When I received them I didn't really expect them to put a whole lot of light out in front (just one small led bulb in each light), but still thought they would be good to make me more visible. I was wrong, they really light things up quite a bit. I don't have any complaints about my first ride with them but I need to add some lock nuts or lock washers to keep the lights from coming loose from vibration. They stayed put tonight but I don't want to have to worry about them coming loose. Also I might try to come up with a more heavy duty bracket in the future.

+1 to both you and LD. Both look great! I'd like to know how these with an LED bulb fair against LD's traditional bulb with the vibrations.

Me too. Although my bulbs are halogen not regular filament bulbs.

I like em!
If I were to do it, it would be a winter mod so I could possibly put a black or stainless sheath over the brake lines to to hide the light wiring and spruce it up a little.....

and btw, I love your paint!!!! but you know that already!

Update:
They vibrate too much. I need to make heavier brackets. I'm thinking 1/4" flat steel but aluminum would be better.
