Vmax 1200 not 1700. You guys think with the entire pr 110 kit(heads, valves, valve springs, hc pistons, cams, clutch springs), this would be possible? I'm definately a better driver, but I'm talking rolling pulls. 50 to 100 or something. I figure at the track with all this I would smoke him cuz he will spin. Am I wasting time/ money? He's bone stock btw. I had a vmax, so I know they are stupid fast.

Not gonna happen. That's what a V-max was made for. I've never ridden the new V-max, but the older generation is fast. They handle like crap though.

140 for a bone stock vmax is a bit generous. we're talking more 115. the 09 and up obviously dont count, and the 1985 and up dont count because i think they only made them more powerful for two years or so.

I normally do 1.50s with my busa and end up around 9.95 to 10.05. My friend runs 1.80s with his busa and ends up with 10.45 to 10.55. The difference is I launch at 9000-9500 rpm and he launches around 4000. Now granted his clutch will out last mine by years.

I am far from the guy. The only tip I have is first you have to have the will to abuse the clutch like it is a rental. The steps I use go something like this provided you have a real tire and good clutch.
1 craw up by the tank and lean forward so you don't flip it over 2 rev the motor into to sweat spot (500-750 rpm below redline) 3 start loading the clutch when the tree moves 4 let the clutch out as fast as you can while rolling on the throttle as fast as you can keeping the engine at 500 rpm below redline. Your clutch should be full out at the same time you throttle is wide open. This will give you 400 rpm to get you act together to shift. Note this step takes time to get right. To fast on the clutch and the motor bogs, to slow on the clutch well, more practice putting in clutches and you are bumping the rev limiter going nowhere quickly. The short story unless you are willing to abuse the clutch. You will not be able to knock down the quick times. Or at least that's my version.

Never dragged my warrior but I did drag my 86 Vmax in the 1/8 mile a couple times. 7.44 seconds. Vmax being bone stock. If I remember corretly, the 1/8 mile wasnt a good run becuase it was to far to keep in gear and not quite far enough to make up for the next shift. I dont remember if it was 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th but I recall it was the first.
