So this is what I just got for next nothing. It is going to be my future race bike. I am currenlty going through and fixing it and getting it ready for the track. If you have any suggestions please comment since this will be my first race bike.

Excellent find! One of my friends tracked his 04 without ever so much as a single after market part. Then sold it to another friend who is still running it hard now.
I'd recommend very careful removal of all the OEM plastics, lights etc. Try to unplug as much as possible vice cutting wires. This will ensure you can sell the stock parts for a decent dollar. Use that money to be some quality track fairings. Cheap is typically garbage. Finish and ability to repair is at least slightly better with quality plastics. Get the rule book for the organization that you wish to race with, and start making a checklist for what needs to be drilled etc. If you can, go to a race and observe tech and the gridding process. This will help you prepare for what you have to do, before you start drilling etc. Have fun!

For now I am using it for a street bike riding the crap out of it. I will start out with some track days and then slowly get more into it. Any recommendations for race fairings? My 636 is a 2005 with some aftermarket stuff.

I've know several people to use hotbodies with a great deal of success. They even crash/repair pretty well, which can be important while going through the paces.

The fairings on there now are pretty beat up. Since I am just a new guy to the track I will stick to the basics and when I get serious I switch to the race fairings. I was looking at the hotbodies today. I am looking at a Seidici track suit. I am trying to figure out all that I need.
