Default Season of the Bike...

A friend posted this on his facebook as a note to all his non motorcycling friends who asked why he seemed to post nothing but bike stuff.

I found it beautiful and thought some of you who haven't caught it yet might as well.

It's really hard to capture in words what is so addictive, so visceral, and so amazing about riding a motorcycle, but this is a pretty darn good stab at it. Couldn't agree more.

Nice, I saved it to my favorites. Gonna send it to my riding buddy who totalled his bike last summer (hitting me from behind!). I recovered and got the bike fixed and modded better than ever. He cashed out on the total and has yet to buy another. He needs to read this to be reminded why he was a rider.

I'm also lending him my '99 Aero 1100 lowered beach cruiser to ride up to Thunder in the Rockies next weekend, to try to re-kindle the fire of his passion. Riding the Aero 10 years ago when I was laid up from a surgery is what caused him to buy a bike then, so maybe it will wake up the motorcycle Jones in him. He says not, but I'm thinking that once you are addicted, even a small portion of your drug will wake up the monkey.

Thanks for sharing this, it sure hit the spot!

Excellent! When I have friends or family ask why a motorcycle it is so dangerous, I can't seem to explain it; especially the way this is written. Thanks for sharing.
