This is why a lot of people convert. The trigger, hammer & sear, the stock and muzzlebreak are a total of 5, so this is what people usually start with. It's easy enough to make a saiga accept standard mags. I think the price of saiga mags have come down considerably, so unless you have other aks, it might be easier to just buy the saiga ones...

Then you definately would want to modify a Saiga to accept standard AK mags...
