Thumbs down little bitty carb

Worked on my weed-eater today, sucker was floodin out and leakin fuel.
Only a few years old. Maybe it was the way I was storing it. Usually the hoses get old and crack or the hose breaks in the tank etc...
Man that carb is small, I thought carbs on inline 4s were small. Think mine is leakin where the choke fuel goes into carb. Fuel drains into engine. I opened it up but did not see any problems.
I need to wear my glasses and use a magnifying glass!!!

It may not be all that small... Maybe you have big thumbs. ;-)

Put Nitrous on it and cut down some trees with it!

Best thing I have found to do with 2 stroke stuff: After each use drain the gas tank then start or attempt to start it & use up the residual fuel.

Good idea.
The last few times I stored it, I had not used it much, so there was more fuel in the tank. Drained all of the fuel out of choke fuel line and "bubble", yesterday.
This morning it is not flooded.
Draining fuel is not that difficult, probably did not need to disassemble, oh well, another adventure into the wonderful world on tiny Asian carb parts....
Thanks for the tip.

No disassembly here, I use a funnel in a can & dump the fuel out through the fuel fill cap. The unused fuel goes in the truck.

A note on corn gas: it collects moisture. I purchase new fuel for the lawn equipment every month. What has not been used during the month is also put in the truck tank.

BTW stay away from Homelight equipment unless you have a postage stamp size property, it does not last very long.

The pro lawn care guys in FL use Echo, Huskvarna(sp) & Pulan Pro equipment. As my junk died off I began purchasing those brands & have not had to replace any of it. The newest piece is about 5 years old, I have a large piece of property & the equipment gets work out.

+1 on Poulan, have 2 of their chain saws and they are virtually indestructible.
