$250 for 1000 rounds is the going rate for steel cased right now. If you want brass, you are look at $350 for 500 rounds give or take a little. Both of those would be considered range rounds.

For a good round for hunting you would be looking at $35 for a box of 20.

Out of curriosity, do you have any problems feeding brass cased ammo?
Have you tried steel ammo in a different magazine?

What happens when you feed steel ammo? Failure to feed or Failure to eject the round?

here is my newest addition (last year's Christmas present) .40 Springfield XDm. added it to a pair of Remington 870 express 12 guage shotguns, and a Browning .300 Winchester mag. almost forgot...the wifes .22 revolver and .380 Hi-point (cheap but effective)

Brass worked better. It was ejector failures.

What flavor of AK do you have (Romanian, Yugo, Polish, Russian, etc)?
Sounds like you have a bad ejector, but hard to tell...

If this was a romanian WSAR converted from single stack to take double stack mags, this could be the issue.
I believe Century did a bunch of those some time ago. You may have one of their builds...

I saw a news story last night about how gun stores are running out of merchandise!

They interviewed a gun shop owner in Houston, TX. It looked like Black Friday at walmart in there
People all lined up at the counter, waiting for a chance to see, handle or buy a new rifle, pistol, Shotgun...

Guess I should get back into the business!

The funny thing is, I ended up trading some guns my warrior!
For me, it wasn't a cash deal. I made a trade...

Gotta love the barter system!
