$500. for the JOB, start to finish.....but as mentioned, +materials+s/h to and from.

Now some people will say "you get what you pay for"......and I agree with that. I am NOT a professional by my own personal standards. But I will say this. I love to paint, and well, my bike gets a LOT of compliments.

And I am fair, we come up with a plan that we both agree on and I will NOT take on something I can not do and do well.

I use Kustom Shop Urethane base paints and clears from tcpglobal and I use. I do some basic body work as needed, prime as needed, or if the tins are in real good shape I do what I call a "scuff and shoot".

If people want to be able to say they spent $5,000. on their paint, I am NOT the guy you want to be working with.

But, if you wanna try me, worse case is you don't like it, and we do it again or you go somewhere else.

Lastly, I do this as a hobby, not a business. Period. I still have my own projects I am working on, so thats why I say 1 or 2 customers per winter TOPS.....the question is, "who's is the lucky bike"....kidding of course....

samples of my paint jobs to my bike over the past few years;

Just wondering what would be a typical expense for materials? Are we talking $100? $500 14 million?

Ball park......

plan on about....$300. for materials. That base paint, clear, sand paper, scuffing pads, cleaning materials, reducer, masking materials,

I shoot Custom Shop urethane paints. If you want HOK, that price goes up. Top shelf stuff like PPG Deltron or Vibrance, double again. You can pay 50-80 bucks for a gallon of clear, or you can pay 200 for a gallon of clear.

Personally, I love shooting Xrtreme 5-star clears, activators and reducers. But I plan to shoot Custom Shop this winter I believe. The key to a good clear is choosing the right temp reducer for your environment, and how it's laid down. Last year I didn't even have to color sand my final clear....that's how flat it laid down....

Sometimes I have paint left over from a previous job. Then it's an even bigger savings for you.

Where ever I can save you and me money I do!!!!
