Default Harbor Freight Moto Lift

Motorcycle Lift Table, 1000 Lb. Capacity

Anybody got one of these? What do you think? Harbor freight is offering them for 299 with coupons, etc....

Is it sturdy enough for our bikes?

Oldman has one. It held his goldwing up just fine, as well as the Warrior, and now his triumph.

The latest flyer from Harbor Freight had the coupon for 299 while supplies last.

the only things to check on a platform lift from my experience with one that i paid close to $1000 for about 15 years back are:

make sure it has a good wheel lock mechanism for the front

make sure it has a method to allow =you to raise either the front or back wheel - mine had holes in the side with two poles with a "u " bracket that you put on either side of the bike either near the front of the frame or the rear of the frame and then you put a 2x4 across under the bike . the ends of the poles would rest on the floor so that wehen you lowered the lift the poles would stay put and it would lift the front or rear of the bike depending on where you placed the poles. this was a lot easier than using a separate jack which would end up blocking parts otf the underside of the bike.

Make sure it has a solid lift mechanism that has a locking feature on it so you can lock the platform at the height you want.

If it is expandable for longer - chopper style bikes - that would be a plus.

does it have an easy to remove ramp to allow you to get the bike on the lift.

these are what i can think of for the time being

Nice input Christok...I will forward this to my friend who is thinking of buying one...

I think he is going to get it. He has an old Bonneville that needs some TLC to bring it back to life and he will be working on it for a while.

Thanks guys....

My dad has that HF lift. It works great, well worth the money. My Warrior has been on it a few times as well as his electra glide.

I love Harbor Freight! It's like the Walmart of Tools.

A guy on the CO Sportbike Club Forum posted a picture of one he has with a larger Touring bike on it. He was raving how awesome it was...and how he loved Harbor Freight... there is another vote for it!
