Excellent news! I'm glad to hear things are looking up, even if it is looking down a long road, it's a start!

Don't be discouraged if he stumbles here and there. Stick with the non-nogotiable! I worked at a high security juvenille detention/treatment center for 2 years. I seen this kinda stuff everyday. It was upsetting to watch some of these kids go down that self destructive road. Many times they'd progress (some to the point of almost going home) and they slip and have to start all over again.

Believe it or not, the strict structure and consistancy is one of the key parts in they're success. Stick your guns and we'll all be pulling for you and family.

Best of luck with everything. It's a challenging road ahead, but will be worth it.

looks like he is making a change and hopefully will go in the right direction. I don't think you could accept status quo much longer You have done more than a lot of parents would have been able to do so now it is up to him. he is not a young kid and hopeully this will be the beginning of a better life for him hopefully he will find that passion that will straighten him out and excite him. Thoughts are with you and your son and the rest of your family
