I almost did that the first day of Warrior Fest this year. Remember the scuff on the inside of my boot and on top of the oil tank!!!?!!!? Scary stuff. Luckiest save of my young riding career. Ankle was sore the whole trip.

Did it matter that he was letting his foot come off? Kind of floating it dragging it? Seems like you would have less feel for the bike if your foot wasn't on the bike...

He exceeded the bikes limits. The motorcycle was not designed for that type riding. Looks like if he had 4 or 5 inches more clearance he would have been fine, provided he kept his foot on the peg. Just like a Warrior can not keep up with a 600cc sport bike on a road like that. They are just not designed for it. The forward controls are your first clue.

Well, that wasn't really what I was asking. It's pretty clear he was dragging way too much to pull it out. But -did he know he was getting that low? When I drag my pegs, I can feel them scraping. I can then feel them bending up. If you didn't have your foot on the peg/floorboard, you might not have that feedback, and think you were higher than you are, or think that you're only minimally scraping.

On the other hand, at least he tried. Most just straighten it up and run into a tree...
