Yea this has been on the Penton Owners Group Web site for a few years now. Works great too. I've suggested it a few times here too.

Caution. The mix will hurt painted parts too.

I thought PB blaster was the best out there. I stand corrected. Thanks Woody, very useful info.

Wow, thats interesting. Might have to mix up a little and put in a vapor tight container, to keep the acetone from evaporating.

A good client, who still owns and operates an automotive repair garage locally, gave me this trick years ago when I was racing small block Dodges: 50% mixture each of ATF fluid and Kerosene, has worked great for me for years.

my mr grumpy yami mechanic of 35 years experience...martin at sindel in london...torched the the rear port nuts to remove them....for how long and what heat he wouldn't say...i'm assuming a wink isn't proper information...

a techy info site would be a grand --- this stuff is invaluable

Thanks

Watch the torching or heating up to remove. Once saw where this had been done on a car and later in there was a failure of the part because the heat weakened the part. It changed the metallic properties and made the part weaker. Just sayin.

Yeah, maybe I should of added "do not heat part any hotter than the temperature of it's normal heat cycle" ...

That almost sounds lawyerish.

So, know any good fart jokes?
Actually, here's two

Sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread but I just had to do it.

Great tip with the ATF-Acetone mix, BTW. Wish I'd known this years ago, could've really used it. Will definitely be trying this next time.

Why do farts stink?
So deaf people can appreciate them too...

I told that to my father-in-law a few years ago...
He laughed and farted...
He was also deaf, but appreciated the joke...

God Bless,
Doc S
