What brand of bass did you get James? I play a custom Carvin LB75WP 5 string and a Fender Jazz 4 string. It's something i like to do as much as riding.

Alvarez.. I didn't go off the deep end to start. I have a feeling the next one will be more expensive. I am currently using an Amp Link to spare my family but looking at amps now. They have a 30w Fender used at guitar center for $100. Probably be fine for a year or so.

You guys are making me want to get out the old Guild and make some noise too. Been way too long. And no, it will definitely not sound good...

Have a Peavey Mark 111 head 130 amp with amp cover - 1978 vintage on an Ampeg roller speaker cabinet with 4 - 10" Jensens that MIGHT work for you. Don't know never ran a bass through it.

200.00 bux takes it.

info here
Guitars: Mark III Standard Series Head by Peavey | Harmony Central

I can send pix, pm with email addy.

Sounds like a nice rig Churchkey for the money. I run an Ampeg Pro 3 amp(450 watts) and an ampeg cabinet(8 -10 inch speakers), heavy sucker, but i wouldn't get rid of it for nothing.

Man, this website can be expensive, not just motorcycle stuff either.
All this guitar talk had me down at the old music shop downtown.
I tried playin electric guitar back around 1965 when I was 14yo. It lasted a few months till I started drivin cars legally.
That store has a Epiphone accoustic FT-130, made in Japan, back in the 70s. This thing is as heavy as a eletric guitar, something about the quality of wood, etc. The shop owner will clean it up, tune it, even adjust the rod etc, for 229 bucks out the door. I has very lil wear anywhere, owned by a lady, just sold it to him.
It has a narrow neck and a narrow body and fits me perfect.
Internet searches show same guitar for 100 bucks more and much more wear....

Epiphones are actually pretty nice guitars, have had a couple of them and they seem to be well built. I know what you mean about getting expensive!

I still have my 1972 Guild D25 in Mahogany, made in USA. Bought it new in 72 for about 200 bucks I think. Still sounds great, probably better now that the wood has aged. Like me...
