there's 2 points in the rear that rest on the frame. Yes when you snap it in without the rear fender you can slide it a little bit side to side.... but when your riding, in my case 200lbs of weight pushing down on the seat and resting points, that sucker doesnt' move lol.

i have seen a couple that way and they look kind of cool. it looks unfinished so if you want it to look like its supposed to be that way build a rear piece to finish off the rear of the seat..should be easy

Whenever I see warriors without the rear fender my first thought is "spent all your money going fat and now you can't afford a new fender"

I know Wyoming will reply too, but figured he wouldn't mind too much if I chime-in with what I've been told (I like my seat fastened in the back). Others have said the seat's rear rubber snubbers keep it reasonably in place except if there's bumps and dips and things that unload the weight momentarily, and maybe even deep cornering might let it slip a bit, dunno.

I saw two Warrior seats on eBay in the last two years with twsited front attachments and from how they looked it seemed to me it could only have come from the rear having been unattached. An assumption yes, but playing the odds its very likely a correct assumption. I keep thinking that the seat pan is essentially plastic so twisting at that point will eventually break it loose. I'm glad to hear lots of guys get away with it but I'm hoping future members cleverly affix the rear in some fashion and we can all sleep better. No matter how its sliced it can't be as effective as fixing the rear of the seat.

[Added} I took too long typing and Wyoming has already replied hehe. Also +1 maybe Christo has a bolt-on idea.

Not Safe at all !!!!!!!

Too risky for me but that's just my opinion.
I've been riding street bikes well over 20 years and I've seen my fair share of mishaps from modded machines.

+1 on the hidden support. Little insurance is never a waste of time!

Thats my 2 cents.

Maybe Christo can fab a fiberglass pc that works right off the attach point of the fender stays? If he could, I bet he could also wire in some LED's for run/brake/turn while he was there...

Christo?

I agree... that's the one thing I didn't like is the fender stay area did look unfinished.

This is a great forum, the conversation has gone to a new place and a possible new Warrior part that enables a possible new way to modify this beast!

lol wow... I somehow overlooked about 4 responses before lol.

Ya I should really add I don't ride twisties... just 45miles one way to work and back. All flat and straight. I do ride around the lake but those twisties are at 20mph. I guess it'd all depend on your riding style.
