Hey guys, so I'm thinking about doing this to my rear end bcuz I want to show off my fat azz tire, I already have a solo seat, just gotta take off the rear fender & fender stays, if I don't like it I can always change it back... Your opinion fellas?

Looks like they built a support for the back of the seat. I'm not sure I would want to trust just the front latch to hold me onto the bike.

The one I saw was bolted down so the keylock seat removal was useless. I'ves seen installed pics of some that have tongue-and-loop rear connection but can't ever see exactly how they set it up. I totally agree the seat needs to be fixed front and rear.

I've rode around quite a bit like that. A few other members have also. I think this could be similar to the CT debate. Many will say it's not safe because the front latch won't hold. But many of us have rode with it like that with no hints of failure. Obviously I wouldn't ride 2 up without fenderstays/fender lol.

I wouldn't want to risk an issue... thats a big gamble to loose while driving down the road at 70mph. Id want some sort of cut down / hidden support to hold the seat in place left/right, as well as take the weight off the front latch.
Thats my 2 cents. Maybe Christo can fab a fiberglass pc that works right off the attach point of the fender stays? If he could, I bet he could also wire in some LED's for run/brake/turn while he was there... Christo?

Guy could accidently goose it and go right off the back if he was not ready for it. Sometimes I will pull my rumble off and throw the stocker single on for the heck of it and hate that feeling that there is nothing to hold you in the seat.
