Coming home after lunch yesterday, on the onramp to hwy 40 I spotted an R6 moving pretty fast down on the highway already. I was on the FZ and nailed it just a couple of seconds to put on some speed to catch up to the R6. I did catch up to him and was slowing down as I passed him... and one of North Carolina's finest. When I passed the po-po I was doing about 70-72 mph in a 65. He immediately hit the blue lights and pulled me over and let me know that he clocked me at a slightly more excessive speed while I was still on the on-ramp. Very nice, polite guy, just doing his job. I was as polite as I could possibly be, too. The good news is I was doing less than 100 mph when his radar got me, but that's about all the good news I have about this. Court date is set for 8/15. I rode to/from work again today at slower speeds than I was aware the FZ was capable of. Wish me luck, even though I don't really deserve it for this. I chose to play, now I gots to pay.

Yup, been there and done that, many times. Just last summer in fact. It sucks but sometimes ya gotta pay if you wanna play.

These things always turn out better than expected and since its only excessive speed and not even 10mph over the limit you'll probably get a year on wet-t-shirt-inspection duty at the local pub plus maybe a few months having to tidy up the dancer changing rooms at the local strip club. Don't worry about it.

Yeah, if your respectful to the judge you'll probably get off light. If you get the sentence arizonawarrior thinks you'll get, I'll bet one of us might volunteer to help ya serve it.

No... He clocked me when I was on the on-ramp. When I passed him I was doing around 70ish. Unfortunately when he clocked me I was doing under 100 mph... by 1 mph.
