I used to think the most dangerous vehicle on the road was the one with two women in the front seat having a conversation. (the stories I could tell about that) Now it is the single woman driver on a cell phone. Not that men are not just as bad, however most of my encounters have been with women talking on the cell phone. Now the young women are even worse, little driving experience and texting on the **** phone. Cell phones should be locked in the trunk.
How many times have we heard "I just didnt see it"????? The problem is They just didnt LOOK!!!!! It / whatever they hit, was there all along THEY DIDN'T LOOK. Lousy excuse PERIOD. It is the indidvidual's / Operators respnsibility. It is a Personal Responsibility issue. People are not held accountable for their actions/behavior. Whether it's this incident, or some loon with a firearm or someone who chooses to smoke tobacco. It doesnt matter that it was a Woman, doesnt matter that she was in a mini van or SUV. Our society will place the blame somewhere else, on the motorcycle manufacturers for not making them more visible, on the firearm or on the tobacco company etc. What matter's is that she will not go to jail for this and will not have to suffer any consequences for her behavior. It sets a poor example for any one else that does the same thing. No real punishment will come ffor this woman probably. Sad state of our society Our children learn to drive cars by playing video games. They crash a car? Just hit reset and get another one. What is our world coming to???

RIP Officer Yung Thank you for your service

the weird thing is, that from the story, it seems pretty cut and dried as to what happened, but as of yesterday no charges have been filed, the persons name hadnt been released, and the accident was still "under investigation"

Anytime an officer is involved they take their time in the investigations. My brother was a cop and they want to make sure they have crossed all ts and dotted the i's so there is no emotional back lash from the department or vigilante justice. It won't go away, they will stay on top of it fore sure.

WTF! Sirens going and she STILL didn't see him. What does that bode for the rest of us without flashers and sirens? What do you have to do to get seen?

It seems always to be the cager turning left in front of the MC! Wake the f*ck up! Driving is a privilege, not a right. We all have a responsibility to pay attention and be vigilant to other drivers.

Like most of us, I've been cut off, pulled out in front of, turned in front of etc... The latest one was on A1A in Flagler beach when an oncoming older fellow tried to make a quick left across my lane just to get into an up front parking spot at a little Italian restaurant. I hit both front and rear brakes and my rear tire locked up and the rear of the bike began to drift out to the left! The jackhole driver then decided to take notice of my giant a$$ barreling down on him so he decides to panic and stop! I cut left rode the yellow line in between him and oncoming traffic!
I turned around ready to bash all his windows in ... I pulled up to the old man and he immediately started apologizing! After a few WTF's from me I calmed down and made him promise to tell ten people to look twice for motorcycles! I sure hope that helped get the point across more than the bumper stickers!

Good on you BigRob....way better to teach than (*&%^*&%^......

I was just riding on Friday just after dusk (Pacheco Pass for those that know the area). Pretty crowded but moving at highway speed. It is a mountain road, 2 lanes each direction. Guy in the left lane decides he should be in my lane and just comes on over. Horn, swerving (I saw the face of the mountain) and then the unmistakeable taste of metal in my mouth. I looked to the left and saw about 2 inches between his car and my peg......whew...close one there.

I would have liked to have the opportunity to speak with him to see if he tasted metal too, I doubt he did.....

Be safe all
