Sooo,
This thing rocks in the rain and I'm still on near worn orignal 2006 tires. I've got the fanciest wet weather sport touring tires on my Buell now and this thing is way more confidence inspiring on the freeway. I'm guessing the fact that it's ten feet long and weighs 2 tons helps a lot. The gas tank is way too small. Last edited by theAmazingKickstand; 11-28-2012 at 05:29 PM. |

You're right about the gas tank. Maybe that is why they put that lousy stock seat on it, they knew you wouldn't be sitting on it that long.

![]() I'm fairly certain the speedometer is very optimistic. 80mph is not 80. My butt tells me 87ish indicated is about an honest 80mph. RPM's seem kinda high for such a motor design. Are these engines ok sitting sitting at 3,500 rpm for hours on end? How about 4,000 rpm? |

welcome...
80mph = 3k rpm dead on - it will stay their all day ....guys have put 100k on this engine no sweat - the 5k rev limiter takes care of that....it pulls like a train 85 to 110 the sweet spot for sure - stick the revs up at the lights and drop the clutch...then tell me its slow the warrior is not king of any one skill for sure ...just the best all rounder out their that looks as good with a rider or not...we have taken them to switzerland across france up to 2300 metres and they didn't miss a beat - had gel and memory foam put in my stock seat ..works great for long trips...boulevard screen does give an extra 10 to 15 mph top end cruise speed

there's lots of posts on the speedometer. it reads low. there are some cheap-ish things you can get to fix it. the speedometer healer???. i forget. but i don't really need it. if you're with the flow of traffic..fine. if you are just above the limit, then you are also fine. you can put in the roadstar 5th gear. it's longer, but alot of work.
right here Inaccurate speedometer fix Last edited by iowawarrior; 12-01-2012 at 07:02 PM. |
