Last year when everyone was buying the NOS 09's that Yamaha was selling at dealerships, the Midnights were up to 1000 bucks more. Apparently they were selling them for that too, or the price would have dropped.

im with randy and bruce...but i have no hard data on this. I havent noticed (but also havent been looking for) higher midnight prices in the classified ads for same year warriors

This isn't a competition as I see it. You had said that midnights were " always more desirable" and to me they aren't so I thought I would mention that. Then you also said that you didn't like them better; so you were backing up my point.

Welcome to the 4m! I think I would go for the 08, All the recalls are incorporated, its got the beefier Drive pully nut, new CPS, newer bike, know the history, etc, etc,

I have a 08, bought it new in 10. I put 25,000 miles in the 1st year. I actually only ride it now when its perfect, so my mileage has dropped and only have 30 k on it.

I actually think the bike "broke in" around 25K.

IMHO anyway you look at it the stock seat is horrible. Its gotta be changed. Corbin Stilletto/Stinger works for me.

I just started to have a battery problem. Well its 5 years old and I had a issue with it cutting out at 80 mph, but these are/were easy fixes.

I guess the only issue is, you will want to modify the bike. It never ends.

Fair enough. Which is why I pulled that post. I didn't feel it was appropriate and conveyed the wrong image and statement. I replaced it with something I hoped was a little more humorous and less confrontational.

In my defense, in some locations they do cost more, and are more sought after, which I believe someone else noted in another thread.

But it's not really a key point. It's all a matter of personal opinion.
