Guys hello.
I had problems with a motorcycle. Help me please. At us there comes winter and I was today in garage and was engaged in motorcycle preservation by winter... prepared it for colds... greased with various means and looked after him. Today during care of a motorcycle I had a trouble! the right rack of a wheel came off - and the wheel remained to keep only on the left rack. The right part of a wheel broke at fastening level - what is it? why it occurred? what to me now to do? to me to buy a new wheel? Guys I very much was upset... I didn't expect such from a wheel.... how to me now to be? I should buy now a new wheel? Very much I wait for your messages. Big all thanks. Dima, from Russia. |

Are you reffering to the right side of your handlebars, where the bolt goes into it from under the triple tree? Is the bolt just loose, or did it break-off in the bars? You should be able to see the bolt head right behind the headlamp bucket. Loose, or broken you won't need new bars...You'll either have to remove the loose bolt & re-install with some blue loc-tite on the threads, or remove the bars to extract the broken bolt, which shouldn't be too hard.

Hi Dima,
Not sure what we are looking at here, it appears to be the where the handle bar meets the top of the fork? Can you post more pictures so we might be able to help? Thanks

I think we need a translater for this one!
Dmitry, do you mean the handlebar's right fastener broke? I saw that happen one other time and the member completely removed the handlebars and extracted the broken stud, bought two new bolts with washers and reinstalled to spec.

Dima, if those are the Yamaha bars, there is a sleeve like piece that screws up inside the riser tube and there is a 12mm threaded hole threaded into that sleeve for the riser bolt to thread into. Chances are is that you could have over torqued the 12mm bolt and broke the threaded sleeve, or it has backed off and come out or loose from that side. You will have to take the bars off to see and to fix if you are able to.
